⭐ Larry and Deborah Adams
We are Larry and Deborah Adams. Here is a little bit of information about us. We were both born and raised in Odessa. Lifetime residents. We graduated from Permian High School and took classes at Odessa College. Larry and I will be married 42 years this June. Larry is the Service Manager at Permian Tractor and has been there for 30 years. I am the office manager at Utex Industries and have been there for 34 years. We have two children, son Kris and his wife Lindsey and daughter Elizabeth and her husband Dustin. We have four grandkids –Jackson, Kamille, Tripp and Kase. We are very fortunate that all our kids and grands live here and are members here at New Life.
Larry loves to hunt and fish and target shooting. He spends a lot of time in his shop tinkering with all kinds of projects. I love to read, play Mahjongg and doing as much as I can with our grandkids. We have attended several different churches during our life, the last being Golf Course which led us to New Life. We didn’t make the first Sunday Service, but we were here the second week and have been members ever since. Larry and I have been in several different life groups. Currently he is enjoying Man Church and I am in two different lady’s bible study groups. I enjoy participating in the Women’s Ministry group, Apples of Gold and Ladies Night on Thursday’s. Over the years we have been involved in many different areas of service within the church. We have both enjoyed being front door greeters and I worked on the coffee bar for many years. When Kris and Elizabeth were younger, we helped with Kingdom Kids and the Youth Group. I have been teaching in the preschool Kingdom Kids class for the last few years and enjoy helping with the extra activities they have.
Larry is on the Security Team. He and the other men take great care in watching over us. They attend most of the extra activities and make sure things are safe and secure. He also helps in behind the scene areas. We attend as many of the extra events as possible. Larry’s favorite being Prayer, Praise and Pie. My favorite is the Christmas Eve Service and the Worship Nights for singing. Larry and I both love going to New Life Church. We have become friends with many wonderful people here and look forward to many more years of service at New Life. We are still growing in our faith, learning more about God’s Word and trying to live our best lives ever.
⭐ Rusty and Tonya Martin
We are Rusty and Tonya Martin, and we have been married for 25 years. We are blessed with three amazing children: Taylor (26) and his soon-to-be wife, Jada;
Mason (14); and Sadie (12).
Taylor and Jada both serve in law enforcement. Taylor is a Sergeant with UTPB, and Jada is the School Resource Officer for Crane ISD. We are incredibly proud of their dedication to serving and protecting others. Mason and Sadie attend STEM Academy and are very active in their school. Both are members of NJHS and Student Council, where they serve in leadership roles, as well as participating in First Priority. They are also heavily involved in Odessa Crime Stoppers, with Mason being one of only 12 student Ambassadors in the State of Texas.
Rusty has served with the Odessa Police Department for over 18 years in a variety of roles including SWAT, SWAT Sniper, Street Crimes, Field Training Officer, Academy Instructor and Firearms Instructor. He is currently the Sergeant over the Drone Unit and Traffic Division. Tonya has served in several roles over the years, including working
with Dr. Kris Howard, at Buice Elementary, and currently in the office at New Life. However, her greatest accomplishment is, and always will be, being a mom.
We began attending New Life full time in 2023 and immediately knew it was home. After searching for a new church family following our time at Second Baptist, we felt the
Lord clearly leading us here. We both gave our lives to Christ at a young age, Tonya at 12 years old at church camp, and Rusty at 14.
Our faith has always been central in our lives, especially through the many trials and victories we have experienced. Through critically difficult health struggles, caring for parents at a young age, tragic losses in our personal lives, and the challenges that come with law enforcement careers for Rusty and Taylor, we have learned to lean fully on the Lord in every circumstance.
We love serving at New Life. Rusty serves on the Security Team, helps with the Youth and enjoys Man Church. Tonya loves serving behind the scenes, helping in any capacity she can, meeting with her life group that she loves and the Womens Ministry activities. Mason is involved in youth, plays drums, and helps with photography. Sadie is an active member of youth and serves in KKC with the younger kiddos. Watching our family grow in faith, build meaningful relationships, and become plugged into our church family has been such a blessing.
We are honored to serve with you and look forward to continuing to grow together as a church family.
⭐ Don and Pam Tiffin
Don and Pam are high school sweethearts who have been married for almost 48 years. They have three married adult children and six grandchildren with another on the way. Both were blessed to have been raised in Christian homes and as a result chose to make Christ an integral part of their marriage from the very beginning.
Due to Don’s professional career as a petroleum engineer and energy executive, the couple has relocated numerous times and have actively served six
individual congregations in the areas of teaching, leading and hosting small groups and leading and serving on various committees.
They helped lead a large high school youth for eleven straight years, including seven church building mission trips to Mexico and one hurricane relief trip to New Orleans. Pam has sung with praise teams and with Ken Young’s Hallal Group. They have served as a deacon couple at two congregations and an elder couple at one congregation. In addition, they helped found and lead a home church during the Covid lock-down period.
Although Don and Pam are new to New Life Church, they have quickly fallen in love with the congregation and
are willing to serve as a Shepherding Couple if that is God’s leading.
