March 20,2020

In light of Governor Abbott’s (and subsequently Mayor Turner’s) latest orders New Life will suspend all church activities through at least April 3.  Please know that in the coming weeks discussions will continue and many are prayerfully asking God for the wisdom and discernment on how best to proceed.

We will have our services online via Facebook Live. Sunday, March 29 at 10:30AM we will have a time of worship, communion and a time of teaching from Tim.

  • You can access the New Life Church Odessa page at https://www.facebook.com/nlcodessa/

  • New Life Church will provide portable communion cups and wafers. Please contact Melinda to arrange getting yours before Sunday. If you can not get communion from the church, please use what you have at your immediate disposal.

  • Prayer Requests - It's important that we stay in constant prayer.  We will continue to cover in prayer all your prayer requests and will send out those that aren't confidential.  Send your prayer requests to prayers@newlifeodessa.org.

  • You can give your contribution in two ways  1.  Send a check through the mail to 7184 Club Drive, Odessa 79762. 2. Give online from our homepage's New Life Giving Portal or from your Elexio phone app.  If you haven't done it before, it takes very little time & you can choose "Recurring" so you don't have to worry about it each week.  You'll need your credit/debit card or your routing #s for your bank account.  You'll receive an email confirmation.  Exercise your trust in the Almighty by this simple act of faith.
  • Pray for our leaders at the national, state and local levels as they are making tough decisions that affect so many people.  Pray for our church leadership that they will have the discernment to make wise decisions regarding our congregation and what is best for us.  Pray for your family and friends that they will come to know the love of Jesus and, if they don't have a relationship with Jesus, that they would come to know Him.

Remember, as we walk through this time of uncertainty that we live in the strong and unshakable Kingdom of God.  He is not absent or asleep.  He is sovereign over everything and would have us to worry about nothing, pray about everything.
