Connect at New Life

We understand visiting a new church can be hard to do.  Our job is to make you want to be a part of our community of believers.  We believe that you'll enjoy practical messages and a worship style that celebrates God.  Our goal is to offer a casual, friendly atmosphere here at New Life.  We pray that what you learn on Sunday will help you live life through the week and then bring you back for more.  Even if you have never opened the Bible, we want you to come and explore what life in Jesus Christ is all about.

We want children to get as much out of church as you do!  That's why we offer children's Sunday school classes at the same time as the preaching time.  It makes it easier for everyone to enjoy the teaching time.  Our Nursery attendants and Bible teachers are skilled and trained to encourage and nurture the children's spiritual growth and development in a safe and creative environment.  It is an honor and privilege to be entrusted with these precious jewels each week and we love every minute!

We want our worship to be a time of praising God. We work hard to create an atmosphere where people feel comfortable to express their heart with freedom. We often clap, raise our hands and, in general, respond in gratitude to God’s mercy, grace and goodness. We just want to love out loud for Jesus! And don't be surprised if you hear a song or two from Christian radio!

Communion is the time we set aside each Sunday to stop and reflect on Jesus and the gift He freely gave us when He died on the cross.  That gift is the forgiveness of our sins because of His sacrifice.  Communion is available to all believers who have gathered with us to honor Jesus. We offer safe, convenient, individually prepared wafers and juice.

We believe baptism is how we “go public” for Jesus.  The Bible teaches that when you’re ready to accept Jesus’ free gift of grace, you’ll want to change the way you live, ask Him to forgive you of your sins and to become the leader of your life.  Your response is celebrated in the act of baptism, which is being immersed in water.  This is a symbol of dying to your old way of living and being reborn to a new life, cleansed and pure.  Romans 6:1-4; Acts 2:38.

If you have further questions about baptism, please call the church office at 432-272-5556 and someone will be happy to answer your questions.
